As a cooperative, MiEnergy has a strong commitment to youth and community. Each year high school seniors are selected to receive scholarships to continue their education. The program recognizes students who demonstrate cooperative spirit through service to others. The MiEnergy scholarship is based on community service and academics.

The names of the 2024 scholarship recipients will be listed in the June MiNews.

The 2024 scholarship application is closed. Scholarship winners will be notified by their school.

For graduates of Aquinas, Chatfield, Crestwood, Decorah, Dover Eyota, Grand Meadow, LaCrescent or Waukon:

In December, MiEnergy will send you a letter requesting your first semester transcript and a letter of enrollment for second semester. After we receive the above information, we will mail the scholarship money to your college to be applied to your second semester.

For graduates of Caledonia, Cotter, Fillmore Central, Hope Lutheran, Houston, Kingsland, Lanesboro, LeRoy-Ostrander, Lewiston-Altura, Onalaska Luther, Mabel-Canton, New Hampton, Riceville, Rushford-Peterson, St. Charles, Spring Grove, South Winneshiek, Stewartville, Turkey Valley or Winona:

MiEnergy sends the funds to your high school in June. You must follow your high school’s procedures to collect your award following successful completion of your first semester of college.

In addition to the eligibility requirements below, to be considered for a scholarship, the student must submit (1) the completed scholarship application; (2) the Activities List form; (3) the Activity Leader Signatures form; (4) high school transcripts and (5) a cover letter. Not sure what your cover letter should include? Applications missing one of these pieces will not be considered.
